    Ilagan's rhythm seems to have been halted and he misses three darts at tops, but, after Nathan Aspinall fails to take out 25, he comes back to the oche and finishes with a single 20 before a double 10.

    Sport at the elite level is about what's between the ears, so darts is a great game/sport where physical strength is less relevant and therefore should be open and hopefully more women will get involved. That said, fair play to Gurney who produced under immense (social) pressure.

    [The 144 out] was certainly the biggest moment that changed everything. It was a hard-fought game, it wasn't the best overall numbers for them but the skill levels they had at times were just superb stuff.

    Two-time semi-finalist Nathan Aspinall makes his first appearance at this year's World Championship tonight.

    The former UK Open and World Matchplay champion takes on PDC Asian Championship winner Lourence Ilagan of the Philippines in round one.

    Englishman Aspinall has been in the upper echelons of the world rankings for the past few years, but is down at 15th in the world rankings at the moment.

    However, he is no stranger to the latter stages of major tournaments and last month he was beaten by Luke Littler in the Players Championship final in Minehead.
