Sune Luus seems content to grind it out to get South Africa over the line after some tight bowling from Brooke Halliday - five dots from the first five balls.
Halliday then serves up a high full toss - deemed a no-ball - which Luus laps over the wicketkeeper's head for four.
From the free hit that follows, Luus chips one into the air but the catch is spilled.
Marizanne Kapp is efficiently going about her business to knock off the remaining runs here.
She is content to see off three dots from Melie Kerr before opening the face of her bat to guide the ball away for four through third.
New Zealand doing very un-New Zealand things in the field.
Marizanne Kapp gets off the mark with a cover drive off Lea Tahuhu which goes through the legs of Maddy Green's long barrier.
Another straight drive from Kapp later in the over races away to the boundary and this time it's Sophie Devine with the misfield as she seemingly dives over the ball.

Tazmin Brits was unhappy the referral from New Zealand came so late and is grumbling to the on-field umpires.

It's really interesting to see the New Zealand team still having the momentum on the field and having high standards. I am just not sure what they are going to do.
Melie Kerr tosses the ball up, hoping to draw a false stroke from Tazmin Brits, but the South Africa batter has been there too long now to be troubled by the ploy.
Brits responds with a powerful low drive which races way down the ground for four.
South Africa will have one eye on getting this done inside 40 overs.
