Two runs per ball. That's the simple equation.

  2. Nep 125-3published at 15 overs

The run-rate has sneaked up to 12.

Aarif Sheikh is the new batter, and he manages to get of the mark. A lot on Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel's shoulders now.

Just two runs and a wicket of Sam Curran's over.

It's such a shame. The drinks break has sucked a bit of momentum out of Nepal's sails.

A slow off-cutter inviting the batter to take on the big boundary.

Airee who played really well - 44 off 29 - but that one coming off the toe of the bat and looping to Banton.

This is England's opportunity to squeeze. Get that rate up to 12, 13.

    That partnership was excellent.

Tom Banton takes the catch at extra cover, coming off the boundary. Sam Curran strikes. Nepal lose their third wicket.

This is probably it for the simple reason that for a new batter to come in and settle down will take some time.

    Airee c Banton b Curran 44 (Nep 124-3)

    A much-needed wicket for England.

Dipendra Singh Airee goes inside out to a Sam Curran off-cutter but cannot get the power or the elevation and Tom Banton pouches the catch at deep extra cover.

Dipendra Singh Airee read Adil Rashid like a book in that last over. Rashid for five deliveries, looking to bowl flatter with the one googly that was pulled for six.

The last delivery, Rashid's thrown a lollipop, a really slow and loopy one, and he's switched his stance around and hammered him like a left-handed sweep. It sails miles over deep point.

Food for thought for England. A welcome drinks break for Harry Brook to realign the troops.

Are England starting to worry yet? Time for Harry Brook to rally the troops over a (soft) drink.

That's a big, big over for Nepal! Is this the over?

Terrific shot from Airee. He's raced to 44 (28).

A welcome six for Nepal. They might just believe again, momentarily. They need a few more of those to put pressure on this England bowling line-up.

Adil Rashid has been expensive today for England.

A googly from Adil Rashid but it's picked by Rohit Paudel - an excellent player of the spin - and he deposits it into the stands with a pull.

Here is where we see the inability of Nepal's batters to try and play the decisive stroke. They're probably a little too eager.

Someone is going to have to try out of these two to take these bowlers on.

  16. Nep 104-2published at 13 overs

Jofra Archer concedes just three runs off his third over. Nepal have wickets in hand but are going to have to up the ante soon.

Nepal have given themselves a chance. They've played some really good percentage cricket and waited for England to miss. They'll need this partnership to keep going.

Sam Curran was introduced into the attack in the 12th over. That's the strength of this England team. They're not relying on five bowlers. They've got people who can pick up the slack if it's not someone's day.

  18. Nep 101-2published at 12.3 overs

Jofra Archer returns and starts with a couple of dots as he varies his pace intelligently. He follows it up with a short quicker ball which Rohit Paudel attempts to upper cut but does not make contact.

If Nepal are to get close, they need a flurry [of runs]. England won't mind them taking singles.

They've really competed in this chase of 185. But England's batting has delivered a total that's a bridge too far. How close can they get is the question, at least in my mind.
