Muhammad Abbas is starting to change his release point to the right handers here, occasionally releasing the ball from wider of the crease. When he does go wide on the crease to right-handers his bowling average drops below 19 across his career.

It's the length, Ali Usman goes back to the one that's full. Harry Brook can't believe it, he was playing beautifully.

Harry Brook can't believe it, pinching the bridge of his nose as he leaves the field. Out in the 90s. His wait for a Test century at Headingley continues.

Clatters noisily into his stumps. Ali Usman offers up a big celebration.

Dropped on one, Brook departs for 91 (93).

Pakistan have been poor in the field, they've let a few through.

From a bowling perspective, they haven't got the pace, they haven't got their mystery spin. The basics of the game, it just looks like they haven't got it.

  9. Eng 354-5published at 75 overs

On the subject of gifts... Mohammad Ali dives over the ball at mid-on and it rolls away to the rope. How many runs have Pakistan given away with sloppy fielding?

Nine from the over takes Harry Brook from 80 to 89.

I don't think I've seen Harry Brook try and hit any extravagant strokes. He hasn't danced down once, he hasn't played one of his ramps, he's just batted.

It's a nice attack to go against, you don't have to force it, there's a gift every over.

  11. Eng 345-5published at 74 overs

    Lead by 174 runs

Five runs off Ali Usman's latest over.

This pitch is a beauty. It's got a bit for everyone, a bit of tweak for the spinner and plenty of opportunities for the batters to play their strokes.

A really good batting display by England, showing controlled aggression rather that hit every ball out the park aggression. Test cricket how it's meant to be.

Khurram Shahzad has hit a good length with 48% of his deliveries this innings and has gone at just 2.4 rpo when doing so.

However, he has been punished when missing his length with an economy rate of 8.9.

  15. Eng 340-5published at 73 overs

Captain Salman Agha is examining his taped right ring finger, injured when he dropped Harry Brook. He said at the toss that he would be an option with the ball...

Khurram Shahzad is driven through the covers for four by Jamie Smith, penalised for a no ball, and concedes a second boundary to Smith to bring up his (unwanted) 100. He's taken 1-102 from 18 overs.

Anywhere from 400-500 would be a good score and likely put the game to bed.

Oooh lovely touch from Harry Brook, leaving it very late to slice through the slips for four.

Here's your half-hourly reminder that he was dropped on one. He's up to 76 (81).

Pakistan and their supporters must be sick of the sight of Harry Brook.

Pakistan should've learnt how to bowl against Harry Brook by now.
