Essex all-rounder Noah Thain has signed a contract extension that will see him remain at the county until 2029.
The 21-year-old, who is a product of the club's academy, has scored 581 runs in 22 first-class matches and has taken 20 wickets.
Thain, who made his debut in 2023, has agreed a new three-year contract at the County Ground.
"I feel I have developed really well as a professional cricketer," Thain said. "I'd like to thank all of the coaches who have played such an important role in my journey so far."
Essex director of cricket Chris Silverwood described Thain as "a player with enormous potential and someone who has worked incredibly hard to establish himself in our first-team squad".
"We believe Noah has all the attributes to become an established player here at Essex and we are looking forward to supporting him as he continues to grow and fulfil his potential," he added.
