Daniel Dubois is asked whether he will be targeting Fabio Wardley's nose after suffering a bad injury in the draw with Frazer Clarke: "Every shot that lands, I'm not looking for a particular target, but every shot that lands will help me to come away as the new champion."

On the nose, Fabio Wardley responds: "If it goes in this fight, it goes. No panic. No one is scared of a bit of blood."

    Wardley v Dubois

Fabio Wardley on becoming world champion out of the ring: "It's not pressure but it is important to me. We all have this fairytale or picture of how it's going to look when we win a world title and mine looked different.

"Not being able to hear 'and the new' on the night and have the belt handed to me on the night, I guess it was bittersweet. Saturday night, I can have the full bells and whistles. It won't be and the new but it'll be and still."

  3. Postpublished at 14:27 BST 7 May

    Wardley v Dubois

Fabio Wardley is asked about the differences between himself and Daniel Dubois: "He can be very strong mentally and in other fights. He has proven to be mentally strong and durable but in other fights you've seen that lacking.

"Whether that's down to training or the team around you it's not clear. It depends on what Daniel turns up on the night. It can be a flip of the coin sometimes."

Dubois reponds: "No comment. I'm here show my pedigree and to get the job done."

  4. 'White collar shows small compared to this'published at 14:25 BST 7 May

    Wardley v Dubois

Fabio Wardley is asked to compare white collar and professional boxing: "Where do you want me to start?

"There are huge differences between white collar and professional boxing - just like amateur to professional and that list is endless. It's about being malleable, adjusting to the big occasions and not letting it build up and get to you.

"Those white collar shows are small compared to something like this."

  5. 'Wild 10 years'published at 14:24 BST 7 May

    Wardley v Dubois

Time for Fabio Wardley to talk about his journey in boxing: "It's been a wild 10 years. It's been a rollercoaster and has been going at an upward trajectory and going at a high pace.

"I came into boxing throwing myself in the deep end and jumping in with people like Derek Chisora, Dillian Whyte and Richard Riakporhe, who have bags of experience more than me, and the best way to catch them was to spar them.

"I haven't changed that perspective or outlook, I take into into my fights and want to the biggest tests out there.

"I heard Derek [Chisora] said I had a screw loose and it takes one to know one. Maybe I'm a close second behind him but I'll take it. Most of us who are in this job are missing a few marbles - maybe me and him are missing more than most.

Fabio Wardley instructs Daniel Dubois not to let people get in his head.

"You don't even run your own social media. I got asked what job you would do and I said bin man. It's not a bad job."

  7. 'I'm going to collect that trash'published at 14:22 BST 7 May

    Wardley v Dubois

Daniel Dubois responds to Fabio Wardley calling him a dust man: "I'm going to collect that trash, boy.

"I'm going to collect that trash, I'm going to collect that trash.

It's disrespect so I'm going to put it right in the ring. I heard what you said. I'm going to burst his bubble."

Wardley actually used the word 'bin man' when he was asked in an interview what job he thought Dubois would do away from boxing.

Fabio Wardley on another tough fight: "I treat all of my fights like they're world title fights, especially in this division it takes one punch to change things.

"All of my fights were the biggest fights of my career going into them so I'm used to throwing myself into the deep end.

"I'm used to picking the biggest and toughest. This is no different."

Frank Warren adds: "They both walk forward. They're both massive punchers and we're in for excitement. That's why it's called 'don't blink'.

  10. 'In the deep end'published at 14:19 BST 7 May

    Wardley v Dubois

We're going to Queensberry's Frank Warren first. He's bigging both fighters up.

"Was it hard to put this together? No it wasn't. I was actually quite shocked by how easy it was. You've got world champion Fabio, no amateur experience, first fight back, first fight as a champion and first defence saying he will fight Daniel Dubois.

"Most guys after they win a world title will look for what they consider to be the easier job. Daniel Dubois is coming off a string of knockout wins over five or six top-10 ranked fighters, he lost against (Oleksandr) Usyk and didn't want a comeback fight - he wanted to get in the deep end. Both fighters said this is what they want to do. They are tremendous fighting men.

"You look at the level they fought at and neither has gone backwards at any time, they always go to a tougher or top-rated match, with no easy jobs in between. I take my hat off to them that they agreed to it.

"It's a fabulous fight and will be a barnburner from the first bell. They are similar in as much that they both walk forward and are both massive punchers. You know you're going to be in for excitement."

There's a decent media turnout here at Saturday's fight night venue. Promoter Frank Warren got here around midday and done the rounds, making time for all reporters.

We talked about the fact that both Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley made their debuts on the exact same day.

On Saturday, 8 April 2017, Wardley outpointed Jakub Wojcik over four rounds at the iconic York Hall. On the same night, over in Manchester, Dubois bulldozed his way through Marcus Kelly in the first.

There was a clear difference in demeanor between Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois at yesterday's public workout.

  15. Fist bumps & bin men - what next?published at 14:11 BST 7 May

We have two very different personalities in the same room today.

Fabio Wardley is relaxed, chatty, good with the media - takes his time, plays the room well.

The more reserved Daniel Dubois is not the greatest talker in the game, but he will often give you a headline or two.

Dubois refused a fist bump at the February news conference to leave Fabio Wardley hanging.

Perhaps Wardley hasn't quite forgotten. He dropped the "bin man" line in the build-up when asked what Dubois would be if he wasn’t a boxer.

There's enough needle and tension in this one, not that it needed it.
