Regis Prograis looked slightly on edge when questioned about the rumours of an injury.

The veteran American is widely viewed as being past his best and is also stepping up against a naturally bigger opponent. On paper, most of the advantages sit with Conor Benn - so if Prograis is also carrying a knock, it would only add to the challenge.

    Benn v Prograis

Rick Reeno, Ring Magazine CEO: "This is an intriguing match. Conor Benn is going into his third stadium fight.

"He has got a new chapter, and a new team on the promotional land with Zuffa. Now he is marching down to his natural weight. He has a determined guy in front of him in Regis Prograis. For Regis, it is a massive opportunity. It is like a lottery ticket landed on his lap."

  9. Conor Benn - from hero to villainpublished at 19:05 BST 9 April

Another figure who will draw plenty of attention this weekend is Conor Benn.

Benn has become one of the most polarising figures in British boxing following the long-running doping controversy. Although he was ultimately cleared to return, many fans still feel questions linger.

Just as he seemed to be rebuilding momentum - particularly after beating Chris Eubank Jr in their rematch - Benn made another headline-grabbing move by leaving promoter Eddie Hearn to align himself with Dana White's Zuffa Boxing venture.

The Zuffa deal is for just one fight and will reportedly earn Benn £11m. So what does he do after Saturday night? If he beats Regis Prograis, that is.

    Benn v Prograis

Conor Benn and Regis Prograis have both made their way on to the stage and we're about to get going.

Benn is back in familiar surrounds - this is the same venue where the news conference for his second bout with Chris Eubank Jr was held back in November.

Might be a little less verbal sparring this time.

Conor Benn's fight with Regis Prograis is at a catchweight of 10st 10lb, four pounds above the welterweight limit.

Benn, 29, though believes he can make weight at 10st 7lbs in the future.

Speaking to the 5 Live Boxing with Steve Bunce podcast, Benn said: "If a world title opportunity was offered to me tomorrow, I would take it at 147 to fight this weekend."

When Benn takes on American Prograis, it will be his first fight since November when the Brit faced a different opponent Chris Eubank Jr.

"I chose to be active, and I want to get straight back out. This opportunity was presented, so I took it," added Benn.

Prograis won his last bout in August 2025 against Joseph Diaz, but lost to British boxer, Jack Catterall in October 2024.

Benn said he always looks "for an impressive win" and that he aims to "close the show early" in order to go home to have a celebratory "burger and chips".

    Tyson Fury is back... again.

I've lost count of how many times Fury has made a comeback but I'm running out of fingers to keep track.

Fury's latest return to the ring comes on Saturday against Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Has the Briton still got what it takes to compete at the top of the heavyweight division? What version of Fury will we see on Saturday? Is his heart still in it?

Hopefully, we'll get the answer to some - if not all - of those questions this weekend.

For now, we have to settle with a news conference to see what kind of form he's on from a verbal point of view.
