    SImpson v Williamson

A Mike Tyson-obsessed kid who did not lace the gloves properly until 17, Troy Williamson racked up 68 amateur bouts, boxed for Team GB and won medals on the international circuit.

As a professional, he claimed the prestigious British title at light-middleweight, but he says his career has "stalled" after four defeats in his past six bouts.

He puts his recent bad run down to the way he says his career has been managed.

"I don't believe I've been promoted properly. I've never had a solid promoter, even when I won the British title," he said.

"I put it all down to being in the North East, in a small town called Darlington. I just don't think they recognise the North East when we have some tremendous boxers."

"But I am going to be winning no matter what. I'm not coming just to defend but to dominate. I want to show that I'm above this level."

When will we see Chris Billam-Smith fighting again and will it be on the BBC?

"Chris is still with Boxxer. He was offered a fight this year against Roman Fress but the commercials didn't really make sense. Hopefully in the new year [he can fight].

Will there be a world title fight be shown live on the BBC with the current agreement you have?

"Lauren Price will be defending her three titles early in the new year on Boxxer."
