In the semi-final Amy Hunt's got, there is going to be absolutely no hope for her if she doesn't absolutely blast it from gun to tape.

She definitely has the harder of the two semi-finals. She is really going to have to be at it.

Greece's Emmanouil Karalis and Australia's Kurtis Marschall, regarded as the most likely contenders to challenge Mondo Duplantis, have both cleared six metres alongside the world record holder.

Duplantis leads outright as all his vaults have been clean, while Karalis and Marschall have both had one failure each so far.

A new national record for Japan's Shusei Nomoto. A very good run from him, he was solid all the way through.

Jakub Szymanski did what we expected him to do. I would expect him to run a little bit quicker than that in the final though.

It's going to be a red hot final, that's for sure!

    Men's 3,000m final

Great Britain's Josh Kerr, who took gold in the men's 3,000m, speaking to BBC Two: "I think I created the problems myself tonight. For people watching, that is not how you win a gold medal! I knew that I had to get that close right or else I would be having a pretty tough conversation with my coach tonight.

"I was in pretty good condition coming into this. I had a couple of problems coming through the British Championships, but this was always the main goal. I needed this one.

"I got in my own head about trying to not waste any energy and there were some moves in there that made me show my hand a little bit. I was just trying to relax in the chaos and trust that I'm fitter and better than the other guys.

"It would be nice to watch that one back because when I went, I knew it was a little bit early. I felt I had some juice in me during the last 100m, so I was happy."

On whether his family managed to get into the stadium: "This one is all down to my coaching, my physio and my mum - that was a family win right there. We didn't get scammed [with their tickets], I saw them in the crowd!"

It was all about the start for Trey Cunningham!

It was fantastic to see him get out of the blocks so well, out hard, into his running very quickly, no mistakes made and charging to the line.

He could tell that his timing and rhythm was right there. Now he's got to prepare for battle in the final.

    Personal best for Trey Cunningham!

His finish of 7.35 seconds is in the top 10 historic times in this event.

It sees him win by a fair margin from Jamaica's Demario Prince (7.53), who takes the second automatic qualification spot from this race.

Armand Duplantis is just more disciplined than anyone else. We know he is better, but he is also just tidier.

After three jumps and three clearances, he still has a clean card. Very impressive indeed, as ever.

    Women's triple jump final

The women's triple jump final has started.

A loaded field is headlined by Yulimar Rojas, a seven-time world champion indoors and out who made her comeback with world bronze last summer after 17 months out with an Achilles injury. The Venezuelan produced a world-leading leap of 14.95m last month.

She is up against Leyanis Perez Hernandez - world champion indoors and outdoors - and Paris 2024 gold medallist Thea LaFond.

There's British interest too with Georgina Forde-Wells. The 23-year-old is a former county gymnastics champion, English Schools high jump winner and international netballer who only took up triple jump in sixth form.

That was very impressive indeed from Wilhem Belocian.

It was nice to see him performing like that after returning from injury after injury after injury. He is just so smooth over those hurdles.

He arrives here in tip-top shape and he has equalled his personal best. His coach will be very happy with that.
