on Campo Lane in Sheffield this Irish pub is a winner to host a
party or simply to have a relaxing evening drink.
With
friendly bar staff and continual drinks offers on Happy Hour this
place has managed to survive amidst competition from more trendy,
modern bars in the area such as Sola.
A pub
with a lively atmosphere and quality lunch for those who like somewhere
to go during the daytime.

I think that as the pub has changed names and decor to such an extent a new review would seem to be in order. And I disagree with the general feeling that the make-over has ruined the place. The newly refurbished interior is tasteful, clean, inviting and has oppened the pub up like never before. Add to this the fact that the range of drinks is fantastic and you have a wonderful little destination just off the beaten track. 07/04/05

Don't know what you mean Andy P. it was totally run down. Now one of the best places in sheffield to get a quality meal or delicious bar tapas, and still offers locally brewed real ale.

What you on about Andy P Shenanigans wasn't a traditional pub it was a crappy irish theme pub! I for one like the new version, but I can see where you're coming from

This establishment is no longer trading as Shenanigans. The venue has been refurbished and is now known as The Wig & Pen. Any reviews would be greatly received!

it's not shenanigan's anymore, it's the wig & pen, and it's totally different, but not in a good way

Used to be a lovely little pub but has gone and spoilt itself by trying to go 'up-market' which in this case has meant nice decor but vastly increased prices and no atmosphere at all - bad move and a crying shame, but this has happened before at many an establishment and no doubt will happen again at many more. Carry on like this and the traditional pub will be extinct within 10 years.
