What can the
special places tell us?

Puffball mushroom

We only have one piece of evidence that people in Skara Brae used medicine. That medicine was puffballs. Inside, the puffballs were like cotton wool and were used to stop small cuts bleeding. What other kinds of medicine do you think might have been used by the people? Remember they couldn't just pop round to the chemist!
