Well, I must admit that Skye has been a great experience. I knew it would be good but it has been better than I thought. Travelling with these young folk does actually keep you young and I'm feeling very energised by it all. Melodaidh is very excitable which is really quite endearing and she's getting Munro interested which is no mean feat.
There is a Celtic Film Festival this week which isn't really my thing but it's good to experience new things, even when you're my age! That Dwelly thing has gotten us scripting and filming a short film. Melodaidh loves it but Morag and I are a little apprehensive. Who needs a film when you have a memory as sharp as my own?!
We're off to Dingwall after Skye which isn't too far from Glen Affric, I do hope we get a good hike there.

Hai a-rithist,
Now we're in for a real treat today, we're heading up to the Trotternish area. I'm really looking forward to it and I've packed my flask just in case Morag will need some tea on our walk. We're not sure what walk we'll choose yet as these young ones can't decide.
There's a great museum up there too so maybe Munro will learn a little bit of history. Tonight we're going to take in a cèilidh at Kilmuir hall. I think it is actually cèilidh dance classes so no doubt I'll be teaching them a step or two, ho ho! I was quite a dancer in my day. Anyway, here comes the bus, must dash ….. tha cabhag orm!!
Beannachd leibh,

Halò,
Dè tha dol? Chan eil mòran?!
Well, we've had walks a-plenty and I’m telling you now, none was more enjoyable than our walk yesterday. We strolled along in the shadow of Sgurr Dearg in the Cuillins visiting Loch an Fhir-Bhallaich and Eas Mòr. Now these are spectacular sights and are still as enjoyable now as when I first visited them in 197.... ho-ho! I'm showing my age now!!
I'm not entirely sure about all this "bogging" nonsense hence why I haven't been bogging as much as everyone else. Bogging sounds like something my old Ford Anglia did when my dear wife and I went driving on the country roads back in the day.
Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my brisk walk out yesterday and I am completely enjoying my trip around the Highlands. There's life in this old dog yet, I could show these young ones a thing or two. I think Munro has also been impressed by the sights he's seen - especially the Gaelic singer girl the other night! She was excellent, but Calum Kennedy will always be my favoured Gaelic singer. We're also going to try and fit in a cèilidh and I'd like to take a trip to the north end of the Island which has marvellous short scrambles. I'll maybe meet up with my old friend, The Old Man of Stòrr
Right onwards and upwards. Tìoraidh an-dràsta.

Halò,
Ciamar a tha sibh? Ah yes, here we are on the Isle of Skye, Eilean a' Cheò, An t-Eilean Sgitheanach! I'm so glad to return to the fine Cuillins and what a wonderful journey we had from Fort William.
We passed by the Five Sisters of Kintail (that's hills, not actual sisters now!) and I tell you, my feet were getting rather itchy. I'd have loved to have jumped out of the bus and started walking there and then but we must be considerate of our fellow travellers and I really feel Morag could do with a little time off those feet of hers. I think the Ben was too much of a mountain to climb for her, quite literally...ho ho! Get it?!
Never fret though I'll get my walking done and what better place to do it but in the Highlands!
We're in a local outdoor shop here and Melodaidh is rather taken with the Kayaks on display. They're selling a lot of new fangled gadgets and gizmos for climbing and walking. The youth of today! All you need is a pair of good socks, good boots, a good southwester jacket and your faithful canine friend. I say that from experience, they've taken me up a fair few hills.
Must dash to the tourist information now,
Seanair
