Munro | Morag > THURSDAY, JANUARY 11, 2007 Morning all! I'm still enjoying things here in Inverness. There's lots to see and do. Big street party here tomorrow night to launch Highland 2007. Very exciting but I'll need to keep Brochan firmly on his leash - he gets a bit over excited at these things. Bye Seanair POSTED BY SEANAIR AT 08.49 AM - 0 COMMENTS MONDAY, JANUARY 8, 2007 Hello again! I'm trying to rouse the others for a bit of exploring but the weekend seems to have left them a bit tired. Munro Jr has still not surfaced. He went to see a tribute band on Saturday night at a place called Ironworks - not even the real band! Can't understand that myself. Melodaidh went too, and loved it. Morag hated it! I don't know if Munro really enjoyed it - he seems to get a little tongue-tied when Melodaidh is around. Right, I'm off to get the others moving. Don't know what's keeping them. Cheerio Seanair POSTED BY SEANAIR AT 09.11 AM - 0 COMMENTS FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, 2007 Hello everyone! Ciamar a tha sibh! Tha mi gu math. What a trip already and we're only in January! Allow me to introduce myself properly. I'm Seanair, travelling around the Highlands and Islands of Bonnie Scotland, exploring the hills and the history. What a place, and to think Munro Jr's never set foot in the Highlands! And I've had an ambition for a long time to learn Gaelic . and you're never too late to learn. 65 years young and plenty to learn yet! This is the ideal opportunity in the heartlands of the language. I said to the boy: "Come on! It'll be an adventure." He didn't seem too keen when we got on the train but he livened up when we met Morag and Melodaidh. I think he took a bit of a shine to Melodaidh! Melodaidh and Morag are also very keen on all things Scottish and Gaelic. So we get to practise our Gaelic a little. Splendid! I think Munro Jr's coming out of his shell already, with a bit of persuasion. It's what a young lad full of energy needs. Travel and learning will broaden the mind, and adventure will burn up all that energy. As for Brochan, well, poor little fellow .. I know he enjoys the outdoors even although he whines a bit. And his whining is getting more melodious, as if he's picking up the Gaelic! Goodness me! How did I forget to mention Dwelly? What a strange situation . we were sitting on the train discussing Gaelic and this character just emerged out of nowhere and drank all of Morag's tea! And she was freezing cold at the time, too! Still, if he can teach us all a bit more Gaelic then that's great. He promised we'd see him again, so I'm sure he'll be popping up from time to time. Well, I need to finish this web log for now. Back next time. Cheerio, Seanair POSTED BY SEANAIR AT 09.53 AM - 0 COMMENTS WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2007 Hello! This is Seanair, via the wonders of modern technology, talking to the world! I'm sitting in an Internet cafe in Inverness . or should that be an Inverness cafe in the Internet?! Munro Jr gets very annoyed when I do that sort of thing, but it's just a wee bit of fun. Ciamar a thu thu? Tha mi gu math! Tha mi gu dòigheil! The Gaelic is coming on in strides! And no little thanks to young Dwelly - he's handy with the Gaelic phrases. We will all be off to Fort William next month, to the mountain film festival! I can't wait. Maybe I can update my blog from the summit of Ben Nevis! Munro Jr is mumbling something at me ... can't make it out. Cheerio! Seanair POSTED BY SEANAIR AT 13.34 PM - 0 COMMENTS |
