A bheil an t-acras ort? (Are you hungry?)

The travellers are getting a bit hungry and thirsty in this summer month of barbecues and parties. So our lesson will help them to let people know that they’re famished or need a drink. Listen to Seanair and Munro conversing. You’ll soon find out if they’re hungry or not!

Munro and Seanair discuss the food

Munro A bheil an t-acras oirbh?
Are you hungry? (plural/formal)
Seanair Tha gu dearbh! A bheil an t-acras ort?
Yes, indeed! Are you hungry?
Munro Oh, tha! Tha an t-acras gam tholladh!
Oh, yes! I’m famished with hunger!
Seanair Tha am biadh deiseil a-nis.
The food is ready now.
Munro Tha seo math!
This is good!
Seanair Tha e gu math blasta.
