Melodaidh Brochan

FRIDAY, 1 JUNE, 2007

Halò, a chàirdean! Ciamar a tha sibh? Uill, seo sinne anns an Aghaidh Mhòr, àite brèagha bòidheach faisg air a’ Mhonadh Ruadh.

Our travellers are getting along just nicely and, I must say, Mòrag was rather sad to leave the Brahan Estate, she fairly took to the basket weaving. They even managed to make a willow sculpture that looked very handsome and debonair – just like me!

This month’s challenge is going “back to basics” and one that I’m sure Seanair will relish. What more do we need to ask of our comrades than to climb the Cairngorms - Meall a' Buachaille and an Creagan Gorm, Loch Morlich and Badenoch way – they’re all out there waiting for them!  I’m sure Seanair (the little general that he is) will get them all up and going in no time. Mòrag will really wish she was still at Brahan by the end of this month – ho ho ho!

The Outsider Festival should keep Munro Jnr amused for a day or two anyway, maybe he’ll even crack a smile. They have KT Tunstall, Willy Mason and Crowded House all playing at this festival so it should be a right old “hò-ro-gheallaidh”! They even have a walk and a 12 kilometre run for people to enjoy between the bands. Rothiemurchus will be rocking that weekend.

So, all in all, it looks like Aviemore will be fun-filled and action-packed for the fantastic four and their dog. That little blighter doesn’t leave me alone for a minute!

Right must dash! Sin e bhuamsa an-dràsta, a chàirdean! Latha math dhuibh uile!

Dwelly
