John Thomas's Story

J.T.Cook (Private)

John Thomas died in battle in Arras at the battle of Oppy Wood.

Myself (his great grandaughter) and his two grandsons and my husband have placed a small wooden cross on the memorial at Oppy Wood village in 2006 for my great grandfather and for all who died in the great war. The trip is now so poignant as my father (one of J.Ts grandsons) has passed away. We shall never forget!
