Arthur's Story

Private Arthur Kingswood was my great great uncle about whom I knew nothing until recently. I now know that he was 5' 10" with blue eyes and auburn hair. Arthur enlisted in the army on 2-9-1914 aged 40. He was reported as wounded and missing in France on 30-7-1916, eventually being officially reported as having died on or after that day. There is a memorial to Arthur at the Serre Road Cemetary no.2.
