Wlliam's Story

My great grandfather, service number 520, 132nd Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, who was one of the many killed on 1st July 1916, the beginning of the Battle of the Somme. He left behind a wife and six children which probably goes to demostrate the impact felt by many families at the time. Buried in the Ferme-Oliver Cemetary
