Ephraim's Story

My Great Great Uncle Ephraim Warner was born on 21st March 1894 in Steeple, Essex to James and Charlotte Warner. He followed in his father's footsteps and became an Agricultural Labourer.

Died at Arras, never found...

On 8th August 1914, he married Florence Jane Brown at Maldon Register Office.

He went to war with the Essex Regiment. Private Ephraim Warner 31487, 1st Bn, Essex Regiment died on 14th April 1917 and he is remembered on the Arras memorial. His body was never found.
