Jack (John)'s Story

A gentle man

He was a gentle man, a church organist and a lover of choral music. He was conscripted to the 25th Royal Welsh Fusiliers in 1917 and served in Palestine (wounded) and later near Arras (gassed). Like his company commander, Seigfried Sasson, he ended the War in hospital.
