Is there anyone who can resist the sight of a beautifully brown and golden pie emerging warm and fragrant from the oven? The pie is one of the ultimate comfort foods and it is also the star of Tamasin Day Lewis' cookbook Tarts With Tops On.
In the first of our new series on pies Anna McNamee went to meet Tamasin in an attempt to gauge whether it's essential to one's kitchen 'cred' to make your own pastry and, of course, to sample some of her wares.
