We did not want to label our German Shepherd (at the rear of the photo, the other is his litter mate Kas) with the usual macho Tyson or Sabre, nor did we want to give him a silly demeaning name such as Fluffy or Bubbles. We chose the name Aslan for him (from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) as it seemed to suit a regal dignified dog as German shepherds are. From C. Pearson
