"Radio leaves hands and eyes free for work, while providing the brain with all manner of htings - entertainmnet during the slog parts, ideas for work (and bile). It's all too easy to lose track of time when working - radio acts as a timer for me - the end of the Afternoon Play was a signal for me to collect my sprogs! Radio also provides a reposte to the folk who ask 'why's it not in colour?' Because colours are more vivid in black and white, as pictures are better on the radio! It also provides dreadful punning titles for pictures!."
