"Shut away in my makeshift studio, and feeling the need for some company; not wanting to cover my C.D. collection in acrylic, I chose a radio station to suit my mood, and painted. Thus, I was exposed to a far wider range of music and programmes than usual, broadening my radio horizons no end. Although I can't say this had any bearing on my work, my work had a great effect on my choice of radio programmes, some of which I still listen to now, even when not in self-imposed solitary confinement."
