"An artist's life can be a lonely one, Radio 4 is my friend, I cannot imagine my days without it! I have a digital radio in five rooms in my house, at least one or two are always on. I can work happily listening to Radio 4, the programmes are varied and if I’m not laughing at a great comedy, I’m learning something new, or having a heated discussion with it on politics or some other interesting topic. I wonder if I could create my paintings without Radio 4? Possibly , but I would be very lonely!"
