"I don't think I could do my work without Radio 4 keeping me entertained and informed. Women's Hour featured a Botanical Artists exhibition. What an inspiration! Radio 4 was broadcasting from the Hampton Court Flower Show, but it was the sights I saw when I left that I wanted to capture in paint. Lack of botanical content made my painting unacceptable for the Botanical Artists Exhibitions but surely it's appropriate for this as it would not have been painted at all if it were not for Radio 4."
