Saturday by Ian McEwan
The novelist Ian McEwan has set his new novel on the day of the march against the Iraq War in February 2003. Writer and critic, Alain De Botton joined Mark Lawson to discuss McEwan’s examination of middle class life and the extent to which you can isolate yourself from world events.
'Saturday' is published in hardback in February.
Chris Ofili and Freeness
British artist Ofili is about to launch his new venture, ‘Freeness', which aims to give musicians a chance to be heard outside of the mainstream. He discusses why he's set this up and the relationship between music and his art with Mark Lawson.

Leigh Hunt
Two new biographies of the romantic poet and essayist, Leigh Hunt, have just been published. Hunt was friends with Keats, Shelley and Byron, an acquaintance of Tennyson's and employee and enemy of Charles Dickens.
Front Row brought together the authors, Nicholas Roe and Anthony Holden.
'Fiery Heart' by Nicholas Roe and 'The Wit in the Dungeon' are published in hardback this week.
