Spring & Summer highlights 2004

Sport

Golf

BBC Television provides live and exclusive coverage of the world's most prestigious golf tournaments, with The Masters from Augusta, Georgia, and The Open Championship.

In addition to the main coverage, BBCi offers extensive interactive options allowing digital viewers to choose what they want to watch from a choice of five screens, at the touch of a button.

Snooker

The highlight of the snooker calendar, The World Championships, is presented by Hazel Irvine and Ray Stubbs from the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield.

Steve Davis and John Parrott provide in-depth analysis of the games and interview players.

The commentators include former players John Virgo, Dennis Taylor and Willie Thorne.

Football Diaries

In the warm-up to Euro 2004, this observational documentary celebrates the central role that football plays in people's culture – portraying the clubs, managers, agents and fans, as well as the players themselves and their wives, in a very real-life drama.

This is football from the inside out – as much about life off the pitch as on it.

The series reflects the highs and lows of this highly competitive world and follows characters from across the divisions, destined to win the nation's hearts – fanatical groundsmen, buccaneer chairmen, a tough manager with everything to play for and, most importantly, the players themselves.

Tennis

Live coverage of Wimbledon, the most famous tennis tournament in the world, is presented by Sue Barker with expert commentators including John McEnroe, Pat Cash and John Lloyd.
