  13,000
new listeners for BBC Radio Oxford
In
the first three months of 2003 BBC Radio Oxford has gained 13,000
new listeners, taking the number of people tuning in each week up
to 86,000, according to the latest figures issued by RAJAR* today.
BBC
Oxford's Executive Editor, Phil Ashworth, says: "These are
great results for the station and a credit to the quality of our
programmes and presenters, providing excellent local coverage."
Andy
Griffee, BBC Controller English Regions says: "BBC local radio
reaches millions and is a lifeline to many.
"I
would like to thank the extraordinary people who work so hard to
produce the exceptional, quality service we offer for another great
showing."
