Dungiven, John Moore of Bovevagh. Page four

Time to go looking for relatives of Jeannie Faulkner. We enquired at Burnfoot Stores which is the local grocery shop. Desmond Quigley and his family who run the stores deserve a credit in this story for all the help they gave us. Soon we were surrounded by local people advising us and chipping in with their memories. And we next found ourselves in the parlour of Mrs Jean Faulkner. (Yes there are lots of Jeans and Johns in this saga)

Jean Faulkner married Jeannie's brother David. (I hope you're keeping up with this) and this good lady was able to add more to our search. For she confirmed that when the Moore family left for Canada they had two small children, Ethel and son John.

Jean also told us that John Moore's ashes had been brought back from Canada and buried in Drumachose, Christchurch, Limavady. "But you must visit my daughter Anna" said Jean "She lives in what used to be Glenconway School, - John Moore's old school".

Time for another jump in the car and off up the Glenconway road to meet Anna Logan and her husband Harry.
