It was pleasing to see so many men and women displaying their prized vintage tractors and there's a solid camaraderie that means you'll always be happy to give a tow to somebody who finds themselves a bit stuck for forward motion.

The devil's in the detail they say and even these decorative tractor and implement seats are hugely collectable. There's no reason why the wheels should not be as decorative and eye-catching as the rest of the bodywork. In a quiet corner of its own a sturdy old Marshall Diesel sits sunbathing and just looking dead tough.

Events such as the Dromara one are held in many locations throughout Northern Ireland every year and are always a great day out with something for everyone. You'll meet the nicest people on a tractor!
