Religious Education Exemplar - Lesson exemplars using A State Apart website
 


This example is targeted at General Religious Education studies or Social Religious Education. The age group would be post 16 primarily. The site would be a research tool so students could generate current and informed sources of information. There are many possibilities here to explore the site for GCSE using the areas

Topic The main focus would be on the theme of justice within society in general and using the Northern Ireland context as a particular example

Suggested Activities It is important that a strict timeframe is established so that pupils can work to a deadline - using one or two 30-40 minute teaching periods would seem reasonable but this would depend on the educational objective.

Students should be encouraged to explore other parts of the site. E.g. [RECONCILIATION]
