This example demonstrates the value of the resource in researching the role of individuals. On a very basic level the CDROM can generate excellent biographical information on the key personalities involved in the Troubles. Teachers would aid the learning outcome by a preparatory lesson(s) on the structure of the British Government and the mechanics of Direct Rule either through use of textbook material or the State Apart video or similar.
