Solas a bunaíodh i Nua Eabhrac breis agus deich mbliana ó
shin anois … tá an fidléir Winnie Horan de bhunadh
Nua Eabhrac sa ghrúpa ón tús … agus i ndiaidh
don bhoscadóir John Morrison fágáil, tháinig
Mick McAuley, de bhunadh Chill Chainnigh, i gcomharbacht air … ní
hamháin go bhfuil an iomaí albam taifeadta ag an bheirt
le Solas féin, ach anuraidh d'eisigh siad albam le chéile
dar teideal "Serenade" … a dtionlacán sa Seomra

Beoga ….
Irish American super-group Solas were founded more than 10 years ago.
Fiddler Winnie Horan who hails from New York has been with them from the
start and Kilkenny man Mick McAuley joined the group later on when John
Morrison left. Over the years the pair have recorded many albums with
Solas and in 2006 Winnie and Mick joined forces for the first time as
a duo for the release of their album "Serenade". They called
into the "Seomra Suí" ahead of their performance in the
Raw Bar Folk Club in the Garrick Bar in Belfast and on this occasion they
were accompanied by Seán Óg Graham from the group "Beoga".
