Are you ready... Meet the newest Gladiator!

Tom Stoltman will join the Gladiator's cast for series four of the hit BBC show

One of the world's strongest men, Tom Stoltman, will step into the arena as a Gladiator for the new series of the show.

The popular Saturday night programme is returning for a fourth series next year, alongside an all-new Gladiators Celebrity Special.

But, is Tom ready?

Well, he's been crowned World's Strongest Man champion THREE times!

So that's probably a pretty good start.

Who is Tom Stoltman?

Tom's nickname is 'The Albatross' because he has long arms, like the bird's wings!

  • Tom is 32-years-old, he was born in 1994 in Scotland.

  • He is 6ft 8in (203cm) tall - that's the same height as more than six 30cm rulers stood on top of each other!

  • He was diagnosed with autism when he was five.

  • Tom has been passionate about sports since he was little and began weight training at 16, inspired by his big brother Luke - who is also a strongman.

  • Tom's nickname is 'The Albatross' - could that be his Gladiator name perhaps?

  • Tom is famous for his favourite shoes - Crocs! He even wears them in the gym.

  • He has won the World's Strongest Man title three times - in 2021, 2022 and in 2024.

  • He is still officially Britain's Strongest Man after winning that title for a fourth time in February.

Tom said he is "incredibly proud" to be a Gladiator

Tom will now go up against contenders in the Gladiators arena.

He said: "This is a dream opportunity and I'm incredibly proud to become a Gladiator."

"I've spent my life pushing myself to see what I can achieve and joining this incredible show is the next challenge.

"I'm excited to bring my strength, determination and personality to the arena but, most importantly, I want people watching to feel inspired to believe in themselves and take on their own challenges," Tom said.
