We don't want to speak for you, but this might be the cutest thing you've ever seen!

Meet Erebus! He's a record breaking Maine Coon cat from Wisconsin in the United States.

A Maine Coon is breed of house cat that is basically super-sized.

But what record did he break? Well... dramatic paws... he's got 29 toes!

That's the world record for the most toes on a cat.

Keep reading to find out more about Erebus and Maine Coon cats!

(spoiler alert: they're SO cute)

Why does Erebus have so many toes?

Cats normally have 18 toes, five on their front paws and four on their back paws.

But Erebus has more and that's because of a genetic trait that's pretty common in Maine Coons.

A genetic trait is a special feature or characteristic passed down from your parents. That could be things like your eye colour or whether your hair is curly or straight.

Erebus's dad was born with six toes on each paw, giving him a total of 24.

Then Erebus was born in March with eight toes on one paw and seven on the rest!

Too cute!
