Guernsey's job centre has said the island is facing the biggest skills gap it has ever seen.
It refers to a mismatch between the skills employers are looking for, and those that jobseekers have to offer.
The charity Bright Futures has called on the next States assembly to tackle the skills gap as an urgent issue.
The job centre's acting manager Luke Bridle said it will be a "challenge", but believes it has the tools and resources to make a change.
