    At the height of the fire at Haigh Industrial Estate in Ross-on-Wye a total of six fire engines were tackling the blaze, along with an environmental protection unit, an aerial ladder platform, specialist hazardous materials officers, police, ambulance and the Environment Agency.

    The fire service said they faced "a severe fire involving exploding propane gas canisters".

    The fire service says it will be watching carefully a building in Ross-on-Wye badly damaged by fire overnight, as there is a risk it could collapse completely.

    A cordon remains in place while firefighters and a power company check the safety of a building on an industrial estate hit by a fire last night.

    A woodburner may have caused a blaze at a Herefordshire industrial unit, the fire service says.

    The fire, which was reported at about 17:45, was at a plumbing supplier and an industrial firm on the Haigh industrial estate in Ross-on-Wye.

    About 40 firefighters tackled the blaze, which could have been sparked when the device was left on, the fire service said.
