The A452 at Kenilworth Castle ford is closed in both directions due to flooding.
Campaigners are fighting plans to build a major distribution depot on the site of the old Jaguar factory at Browns Lane in Coventry.
The developer, Goodman, says the scheme at Lyons Park could bring in to the area as many as 1,600 jobs.
But campaigners fear local roads won't be able to cope with up to 500 lorry movements a day.

There are nine flood alerts on rivers in Warwickshire after heavy rain.
The Environment Agency says rivers including the Avon at Warwick, Rugby and Stratford as well as the Leam at Eathorpe are all running high.

The crash happened at the junction of Avenue Road and Attleborough Road in the town at about 07:05.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, suffered multiple serious injuries.

More than 10,000 people have already registered their interest.
