First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth is about to take centre-stage in the Senedd for this week's edition of First Minister's Questions (FMQs).

And there's plenty for the Senedd to talk about as it digests the events of the previous 24 hours, which saw the resignation of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

Yesterday ap Iorwerth used a press conference to spell out what he expects from Sir Keir's successor, including giving the Welsh government more powers and funding.

Today also marks 10 years since Wales voted for Brexit, while the Welsh government has its own big announcement of some mid-year spending plans.

Its supplementary budget is ap Iorwerth's first big test of whether he can cut a deal with one of the Senedd's opposition parties.
