Shuttle buses from the city centre have been stopped and all the car parks on site are fully booked.

"Please do not make your way to Ashton Court Estate if you are not already here, instead enjoy the balloons in the sky as they fly this evening.

"We still have a whole day to go tomorrow, please join us then," the fiesta said in a statement.

Don’t forget there’s a range of free spots around the city where you can watch the balloons fly.

  11. Not going to Ashton Court? We've got you coveredpublished at 17:32 BST 8 August

If you can't face the traffic near Ashton Court then don't worry, there are plenty of places in the Bristol area which offer incredible panoramic views of the sky and, therefore, the balloons.

Dundry, Perrett Park, and the Harbourside are just some of the places we recommend, but here is the full list.

And you can follow the fiesta right here of course.

  13. Traffic delays as thousands head to fiestapublished at 17:09 BST 8 August

Traffic is very heavy on roads in and around the centre of Bristol and Ashton Court due to the amount of people making their way to the fiesta this afternoon.

According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the M32 southbound has delays of 15 minutes currently. On the western side of the city, the Clifton Suspension Bridge and roads around Long Ashton are also extremely busy.

All the car parks here at Ashton Court Estate are sold out, so anybody who was hoping to drive needs to find an alternative travel method.

It's a similar picture on public transport - BBC Radio Bristol's Caz Milford has just sent these photos of long queues for the shuttle buses in the city centre. She says the line stretches back past the Cascade Steps to the bottom of Park Street.

If you're making the journey over to the site tonight make sure you leave plenty of time and bring some snacks and water in case you face delays.

The running total for this year's fiesta so far is 227 balloons taking flight.

  17. What did the early fiestas look like?published at 15:31 BST 8 August

What would that have looked like? Well, we can show you! We've been looking through the archive and found this footage from the early years.
