Toulouse has maintained a strong poetic and artistic tradition

tradition of popular music is the Toulousain group Zebda. Their
lively music is an invigorating blend of various musical influences.
It mirrors the diverse ethnic mixtures within the city and the
non-comformity of its inhabitants. In the tradition of the troubadours
their music raises important social issues. The group's experiences
of Toulouse have fashioned their music and their songs and energetic
style have proven to be a hit across France.
