Each district council has a Transport Working Group. Details
of the local groups can be passed on to interested parties.
Developing
the idea
The
Gloucestershire
Rural Transport Partnership has brought together the
Countryside Agency, the County Council and the four rural district
councils, the Rural Community Council, Gloucestershire Network
and a wide range of other voluntary and private sector organisations.
Making
it happen
The
partnership aims to enhance the quality of life for people living
and working in rural Gloucestershire by improving their access
to services, leisure activities and employment.
It
will work towards the long term fulfillment of people's transport
needs and aims to give equality of opportunity.
The
purpose of the Gloucestershire Rural Transport Partnership is
to address social exclusion in rural areas by developing additional
transport facilities, which have been identified in an Action
Plan.
