Michael Bisping steps out to a swarm of Mancunian fight fans in an arena that sold out in only six minutes.
The noise level is immense as the world champion looks focused and composed to get revenge on a rivalry that has spanned seven years.
Bisping walks to the Octagon as though he's an extra in a Bitter Sweet Symphony music video.
Attitude. It's almost as if he knows he's going to win.
He couldn't be any more confident.
So, 15 minutes earlier than we expected the fighters are making their way to the ring. Dan Henderson is in position.
Now the lights dim for Michael Bisping. The arena is lit up by mobile phone lights and then strobes.
And the music? Blur's Song 2.

And if he does forget, he won't have to search too far for a reminder. That's because 'Hendo' has embedded a silhouette of the knockout onto his fight shorts.
Red rag to a bull.

Dan Henderson will retire tonight - win or lose.
But he has left the door ajar for a possible return. Or, should that be unlocked?
In an interview with champions.co,, external he wrote: "I did an interview with Champions a few weeks ago, and they asked if I would consider another fight for the 'right amount'.
"Listen, money will make athletes (or anyone, for that matter) reconsider their career choices all the time. Does that mean I’m seeking a new contract or hanging out a neon sign with an exact dollar amount? No, that’s not what I’m doing at all.
"How many zeros would it take? I haven’t really thought about it much, because my heart really is set on retiring. It would have to be multiple millions - an amount that would warrant me even considering the extra risks of getting back in the cage at 46+ years. I’m pretty adamant about this being my last one.
"Here’s the long and short of it; I’m retiring Sunday morning after the fight - win or lose."

Image source, Getty ImagesNow, I'll be honest: Bisping and I disagree on football teams.
Not that I'd ever tell him.
We do agree on something far more significant though: English chocolate is far superior than American chocolate.
It's not even a contest.
Michael has missed the sweet stuff more than anything else during his training camp, and he said:, external "When I came out here to England the last time, I bought a huge bag of English candy, because it’s different and the kids miss it. It’s way better than American chocolate, and every time I’m here, I buy a big bag of it to bring home."
Good lad.

Image source, Getty ImagesCalifornia-born Dan Henderson is an interesting character. He actually began as a Greco-Roman wrestler, representing USA at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. Back when BBC Three was just a twinkle in the eye of BBC One and BBC Two.
He switched to mixed martial arts in 1997 and made his UFC debut at UFC 17. We're on UFC 204 now.
Yep, he's old. But he's nails.
And nails don't wither with age.
Another cracking contest. And now we're less than 30 minutes away from the main event...

Mousasi swarms on Belfort and the Brazilian fighter looks distraught.
If there was anything that was going to inject some energy into this fight, that was it.
Vitor Belfort v Gegard Mousasi
Mousasi might be laid back outside of the ring, but inside of it he's a monster. He rains down blow after blow on a beaten Vitor Belfort. Eventually the toll of the barrage tells and the referee steps in.
Vitor Belfort v Gegard Mousasi
Mousasi catches Belfort, rocks the Brazilian and then unfurls a number of furious blows. How is Belfort still going? He's being clobbered with a sledgehammer here.

"You're boring, come on!" shouts a single voice emerging from the crowd towards the end of the first round.
Vitor Belfort v Gegard Mousasi
Both fighters have ice applied to their chest between rounds. To regulate both body temperature and heartbeat, I suspect.
