  3. Dawn of the Final Daypublished at 13:45

    Yes, that's a Zelda reference

After Edward Gaming being eliminated yesterday, only Korean and European teams remain standing. Today two of Korea's elite, Koo Tigers and KT Rolster, go head to head for the chance to make the Semi-Finals, where they will face Europe's Fnatic.

This is not the first time these two teams have locked horns in recent history. While qualifying for Worlds during the LCK Summer 2015 Playoffs, they met in round 3, where the best of five series went to a full five games. In the final game KT managed to defeat KOO.

Watch out for KT's ssumday and KOO's Smeb in the top lane. Both players like to take on a carry role for the team and have both claimed a Pentakill in the Korean leagues with Riven. (Smeb did it first.)

Last time they met the series was down to the wire, and today is likely to be no different.

    Of Mice and Mana

We're on hand to answer your questions about all things League of Legends, so if you've got a question like Jeff, send it to us using the hashtag #bbcesports.

Most champions use a resource system to cast their abilities. Some don't and are called 'resourceless champions'.

The most common is mana in blue; the amount of mana you have can be increased by items, but also goes up as your level up your character. Some champions are very 'mana hungry', meaning they use a lot of mana to cast their abilities and will want to get more as fast as possible. Mana, unlike rage and energy, can be restored by visiting the fountain.

Rage is typically in red. Most champions who use rage have abilities that do not cost anything but instead build up rage or consume rage for additional effects.

The last is energy in yellow. Champions have 100 energy, which rapidly regenerates after being used but this also limits how much they can do over a long period of time.

Febiven, EU team Fnatic's mid laner, talks to Julia Hardy about that remake during their second game against China's Edward Gaming, and whether he thinks his team can win the League of Legends World Championship.

  6. What happened on Day Three?published at 13:32

    Fnatic vs Edward Gaming

Yesterday was the highly anticipated match between two of the tournament's titans, Fnatic and Edward Gaming. Many expected the series to go to five games but that wasn't exactly what happened.

Game 1 fulfilled every fan's expectation. Hyper aggression from both sides, a complete blood bath of pixel perfect plays and mind blowing reactions from every player. Eventually Fnatic edged ahead to close out the first match.

With a one game advantage to Fnatic we dove into game 2. Both teams, after the explosive and volatile first game, decided to pick more passive compositions and only a single kill happened in a full twenty minutes, while the players gathered up resources.

    *Pause*

Reignover, Fnatic's jungler encountered a 'bug' or error with his character which prevented him from continuing. The whole game was then paused. Referees and experts investigated the issue and eventually, after exhausting all possible options, the bug was deemed disruptive enough to warrant a remake of the game - essentially a total restart.

Back to square one, teams were given some time before the new game to discuss game plans and then they were away again. Edward Gaming opted for a similar team composition while Fnatic changed up their game. Febiven taking LeBlanc played out of his mind and through a series of outplays, snowballed out of control. Despite usually banning out Tahm Kench, Fnatic decide to pick it. In Yellowstar's hands, FNC were able to make overly risky plays in the knowledge that Yellowstar would always be there to bail them out with the Kench.

Fnatic, leading two games to zero over Edward Gaming just needed one more to make it to the Semi-Finals. Huni once again picked up Riven and drew First Blood. Edward Gaming bit back with great engages from Meiko and Koro1 accumulating kills; they were falling behind but still had the tools to comeback.

Fnatic stole their moment and instantly grouped to successfully take on the Baron; it was already too late for Edward Gaming, Losing only Reignover in the battle, only PawN was left alive to stop the advances of Fnatic who easily demolished the rest of Edward Gaming's base, securing their tickets to the Semi-Finals in Brussels.
