Many (but by no means all) of Derbyshire's loveliest walks are within the Peak District National Park. The Peak District National Park covers some 555 sq miles. Half of the population of England lives within 60 miles of the Peak District. The highest point in the Peak is Kinder Scout at 2,088 ft (636m).
