Hello there. I’m Darrell Rivers and I’ve just started attending Malory Towers. Will you be my pen pal? I’ll write to you each week and it would be lovely to have you write back.

Text reads: So my secret is out now, I was the girl asked to leave St Hilda\u2019s and Gwen tricked me into telling her! I tried to offer my freindship but she couldn\u2019t wait to tell the others and try to get me\u00A0thrown\u00A0out of Malory Towers. Luckily the other girls were really nice about it and I think they want me to stay. I can\u2019t beleive they even fixed my dress \u2013 Matron definately couldn\u2019t beleive it! Miss Potts set us a test and after retaking it due to spilled ink, she said I was a good writer. Who would have thought that? I just need to get better at spelling.\u00A0 Oh, I\u2019m first reserve on the lacrosse team! I was so upset to miss the trials because someone hid my boots but first reserve is\u00A0jolly exciting.\u00A0 Have any of you played lacrosse? If not, what sports do you like playing?.

Text on letter reads - Dear Freinds, It has been so lovely reading about all of the wonderful sports that you play. A lot of you haven\u2019t played lacrosse but you have played football, rugby, cricket, hockey, tennis, badminton and more. You also like gymnastics, ballet and dance. I want to try all of those too! And of course, swimming. You would love the pool at Malory Towers \u2013 it\u2019s such a beautiful view and the water is a delight. I count myself very lucky to swim in a pool like that, I\u2019ll always find time for a swim. Thank you for your words of encuragment support with my spelling and as for Gwen, I hope she will stop being so mean! Darrell.
