Hello there. I’m Darrell Rivers and I’ve just started attending Malory Towers. Will you be my pen pal? I’ll write to you each week and it would be lovely to have you write back.

Text reads - It has not been my finest moment at Malory Towers. I really lost my tempaer this time and I\u2019m ashamed to say that I slapped Gwen. She was a real beast to Mary-Lou dunking her in the pool when she clearly didn\u2019t want to be, but that doesn\u2019t excuse my behavier. Katherine set up a form meeting to talk about what happened and Gwen said I hadn\u2019t apologised to her when I already had! She was making me out to be a lier in front of the other girls. This time, rather than lose my temper, I left the room and took deep breaths, came back and said sorry again. I was m Now a lot of the girls seem a bit scared of me. Sally was nice to me though and we shared a ginger biscuit and Ron\u2019s humbugs. Mary-Lou was greatful for \u201Csaving her life\u201D but I told her that if she tried to be braver, I will try to keep my temper. I don\u2019t want to see her getting walked over, especially by Gwen. Apparently, Gwen thinks I need to learn to be more of a lady but I don\u2019t want to be a lady, I want a career. Do you want a career? And what do you want it to be?.

My reply to your letters

Text reads - Dear freinds (msp), I didn\u2019t realise how many careers were out there. It\u2019s so lovely to hear how you want plan to help people, teach people, and care for people and save lives. What noble a things to want as a career to do. That\u2019s exactly why I want to be dream of being a doctor. It\u2019s not only humans And you don\u2019t only want to help people - but you talk about mention careers caring for looking after animals and the planet world around us! I\u2019m so lucky to have such well meaning caring pen pals. And of course, the world always needs I love art and writing stories \u2013 so I\u2019m happy to hear authers (msp) and performers are popular careers too. I do like writing, especialy (msp) these letters. Thank you for your advice to ignore Gwen - but it\u2019s so hard at Malory Towers where we live and study together all the time! I know it was wrong to slap her and I should keep my temper \u2013 I will do my very best to be the better person. Darrell.
