Producer Fergus Colville follows the thoughts and stories of two local painters as they walk round different parts of the city.

They are joined in the programme by three painters of a different kind (decorators) who have also "painted" some of the city's finest historic buildings (inside and out).

As the picture grows, they talk about the different images of Bath.

The tourists see a splendid museum piece.

The locals see traffic jams and expensive car parks.

Which is the 'real' Bath, and which should go in the paintings?
