BBC nominations for the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards

Jon Jacob

Editor, About the BBC Blog

Have you heard?

We publish a lot of awards-related news on the About the BBC Blog, largely because when an actor, writer or someone else in a production team has been given the nod for a potential award, or received the call to hot-foot it up to the stage and collect one, we tend to go a little dewy-eyed. This probably suggests us on the About the BBC team are living vicariously through the achievements of others. We hope you'll forgive us for that.

So, continuing our convention, here are the categories BBC programmes have beeen nominated for at next month's Broadcasting Press Guild Awards. Best of luck to everyone nominated, but an extra special firm handshake for those involved in our programmes. We're not betting people, of course, but we figure we've got the Best Comedy / Entertainment category licked.
